Hello everyone! Thank you for reading my last journal about decisions whether to buy Cintiq Companion or not. After all the reviews and people's opinions regarding the product, I decided to wait for the new upcoming upgrades for the Cintiq Companion before I buy one. For one, that price is the same price as Cintiq 24HD and because of the lower specs, I really hate to say, if they lower it below 1.5K then it's a deal unless they upgrade it to new 4th Generation Processor Haswell for better battery life and more computing power for less lagging and High GPU for 3D, then it's a deal in the basket whether they make it up to 3k, no problem as long as it's high end specs.

I don't really care much about the price since like I said, I can afford both 24HD and Companion in one purchase since I have the money and I'm really aiming to buy upto 4k+ to lift my credit line to 5000 by the end of the year. The only thing that concerns me is that buying something this pricey, might as well be forever usage.

This is why instead, I bought the Cintiq 24HD (Non-Touch). I was really waiting for my Bday to buy the Cintiq 24HD version but I got really excited to get one now for animation purposes.

The Cintiq 24HD is going to be my second Cintiq and also my second large spending after the Life Size Anime Doll Kanamimi that cost $4.5k but also my first large screen tablet after my hopes of 21ux back in the years.

Anyhow, I'm not aiming for Hybrid either. I have 2 Android tablets, one is 8 inch and the other one is 10 inch. Not gonna get another one that is 13 inch. But thanks to those who recommend me the Hybrid version.

One thing, I have some comments to other people's opinions about the Companion model.
I heard one saying you can't work a day without an outlet. That's not true in my situation. If needed, I rather get a power inverter 300watt for portable charging to charge it for more hour usage. The only way I can get an outlet is when I'm home sleeping.

I'm thinking of buying something alternative to Cintiq Companion for a while, while I wait for their newest production. I'm thinking of surface pro 2 but I don't know if it's worth 1k for a small screen or Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga but I just can't think of others better competition to Wacom other than Microsoft or Apple.

One of the sickest thing to do on an expensive drawing tablet. Is to play PS3 on it hahaha BattleField Rocks!

Gratz on ur new purchase And I'd skip the surface, I've played with it a lot at when I go gallery shopping at Best Buy, since you'd have to buy the surface pro to use legacy programs. And the regular surface wouldn't be any different then sketching on you tablets you use now imo and there isn't many good apps to speak of. So I'd definitely would just wait for the next Cintiq Companion to come out like you were saying in your journal rather then blow 1k on the Pro. Or maybe the Thinkpad is a good option but I have never used one so I couldn't say one way or the other if its worth it or not.

Surface Pro would be a temporary portable. It's better than nothing actually since I need portability for art since my production level now is low now that I have tight schedules. Anyhow, it's not a waste on pro actually. They have docking station that can be used as a desktop PC and since I'm thinking of buying a new tower this year, I might reserve that later and just buy one of this cheap once. (1 high tower cost 1.5k) I think it might serve it's purpose too for portability and home use.

Cintiq Companion would be a good wait. I reserve a money for it and won't be touch so I got no problem at all spending things for other stuffs besides, how long are we going to wait for wacom. I want companion as powerful for hard core video programs. I'm not aiming for mac book pro either since I'm not an apple fan nor have any apple products with me except my ipod for music lol

Cool and I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but if Wacom takes the same stance as apple and only does modest upgrades each time they come out with a new generation tablet I think we might have a decent wait before we see something that can handle really big projects with the hard core video programs. Will be interesting to see what happens though now that Wacom has a better idea of what everyone is wanting or hoping for in the next generation.

I need it for animations so higher the power pull the better if I were to produce a high definition and quality video. Wacom still tops and can't compete yet but there's lots of alternative to choose from to minus the money intake. If there's a product that can match the Wacom line digitizer, price war will be upon wacom and will be force them to lower their overprice product. I think microsoft with surface pro almost hit the goal only need more pressure tweaking built in and express keys including pen that's high class.

Who knows, maybe wacom will have new pressure soon such as (1024)(2048) Now 4096 lmao

Oh, you play on PC xD my Nvidia Geforce 6150SE won't be able to even play GTA4 lol so that's why I have PS3 xD I might get Xbox 360 and PS4 when I get my tax return.

I do, in fact, i actualy bought a new game today and started the 14-day trial of Plus

I only own a PS Vita though. But i bought Killzone Mercenaries and am trying Gravity Rush as well since it's free with PLUS atm

He, well, gta4 takes A LOT off your PC though. It's really just meant for consoles, so when they carry it over to PC it takes more then nessesairy of your PC's performance. I'm barely able to play it without lagg and i have an Nvidia Gefore gtx660 card (2GB) so

I do like the xbox. My favorite series Halo is there, then there's lots of great games like Forza and such

I havn't really played Playstation that much, aside from PS2 at a friend's house. Played games like GTA San Andreas, Serious Sam and Tekken.

It's not PS3, it's Cintiq 24HD xD the PS3 is on the side and can't be seen in this picture xD

Yeah, online community is fun and addictive. Trolls and hackers are also fun to play with. They make me laugh so hard at time hahaha

I'm talking about the Cintiq Companion. Cintiq Companion is the smaller 13inch Cintiq that is portable.
In this picture, it was the 24inch or the 24HD the bigger one. It's not portable and it's heavy as hell.
It's like carrying 3 Water Tanks (Water Tanks = 27lbs) it was 87lbs and it's really two person carry but I manage to carry it alone cause I'm buff xDD

Addictive has limits actually. It's like my addiction to pokemon. Anything that is repeating can destroy addiction. It's like drugs. It's addictive but the more you use it, the more it kills you.

Trolls are indeed funny online. It won't be the same here cause reputations comes handy especially in fanbase but for gaming, I doubt I have any fans playing xDD I just kill everyone in sight haha

Yeah, addiction is pretty bad, especially if what your addicted to is something bad, (unlike Pokémon).

It ain't but it's the best Cintiq I have so far. I will save up for Companion. I'm in double thinking whether to buy one now just for production and buy again another one later for upgrade but man, this products aren't cheap for that matter lol so yeah, it's hard choice to make.

Haha oh well I outgrown Pokemon a lot but yeah my addiction to Pokemon is really crazy. I collect figures, cards, and I'm dying to buy DVD like looking everywhere for it.

Haha even friends lol that's how bad I am xD it's like backstabbing and it's funny lol but if you're real friends, you understand the means of fun. Most will just hate you back hahaha

Expensive, yep! People's care for everyone died long ago. If you have no money in pocket, you're suffering even more. Our world just went down to the bottom.

Haha, we have no internet no any decent torrent back then (2004) most of my internet use are if I go to the computer shop or use my uncles but only to play oldest MMO like Ragnarok. Neverthought online.
Well ofcourse today, you only download it off to torrent xD

Haha, well I play for fun but if people adds seriousness, it's a different thing. It's a game for crying out loud. You won't lose anything if you lose lol

Lol I actually do play Call of Duty but only for the zombies. Me and my brother team up all the time and we do pretty good for only 2 players facing a hoard of zombies

It's PS3 quality. I'm waiting to get me a PS4 for the actual fun but BF4 is buggy. I actually prefer BF3 better than this. DICE and EA should stop being greedy like Rockstar and fix the damn game like GTA5 with those bugs and loading online. But playing it single player, it's a fly xD btw 24HD uses HDMI for this haha

Haha online playing takes it to the next level. You get to meet with people and you get to pissed off others who are noobs. Anyways that's where all fun is and if it's not supported by the maker or have dlc fix, then many would be disappointed.
